Wow — these past few months have flown by! After finishing my culinary nutrition course, I started a new functional nutrition course (which I am loving!). I will begin my holistic nutrition studies very soon, I started a new job at Goodness Me health food store and I am really just enjoying exploring new avenues of health+nutrition.
In November I completed my Laughter Yoga Training and it was phenomenal. After the weekend was over I felt like it was all a dream.
Everything is still in the works about possibly starting a laughter yoga club in Guelph, Ontario but I am very excited about all of the possibilities.
In PURE laughter bliss! A great way to start a laughter practise is to begin by laughing while looking in the mirror. One of the 5 components of laughter yoga is laughing for no reason. We do not laugh at anything in particular, we just simply start laughing (faking it till it’s real!) and the laughter will become real + genuine! In order to get the benefits from laughter, we need a minimum of 10 minutes of continuous, deep belly laughter!
Some benefits of laugher yoga:
- Boosts the immune system
- Decrease cortisol levels (reduces stress)
- Increases oxygen levels in the blood, muscle relaxation
- Bring lightness + overall sense of wellness
- Laughter yoga is incredibly fun!!!
